my wedding photography style for your harrogate wedding

I am a relaxed and fun wedding photographer, spending time with you before the wedding to make sure I feel like an extra friend at your wedding rather than a stuffy stranger making everyone feel awkward.

I strike a great balance of a candid, documentary style during your ceremony and drinks reception and am able to then give a little bit of posing direction during your family photographs to make sure everyone looks great. We then spend some time taking beautiful natural couples portraits with just the right amount of wow.

wharfedale grange faq's

Yes — I’ve photographed weddings at Wharfedale Grange several times, and it’s genuinely one of my favourite Yorkshire wedding barns.

It has that perfect balance of elegant luxury and relaxed celebration, making it a brilliant space for couples who want their day to feel stylish but full of fun. The layout flows beautifully, which makes capturing the story of the day feel completely natural.

You have a couple of brilliant options for getting ready. The farmhouse is a beautiful place to stay and prepare, offering a calm, homely feel on the morning of your wedding.

Alternatively, there’s a lovely barn prep room upstairs, tucked away behind a secret door and completely separate from guests — perfect if you want privacy and a peaceful space for those final moments before the ceremony.

The outdoor space at Wharfedale Grange is absolutely stunning. Set within a 25-acre flower farm in the Yorkshire countryside, you’re surrounded by open views in every direction. The arbour on the lawn is a gorgeous focal point, and the gardens at the farmhouse offer a quiet, tucked-away spot that’s perfect for slipping off for 10–15 minutes of relaxed couple portraits.

It’s ideal if you want beautiful images without being away from your guests for too long.

Yes — the arbour on the lawn is a perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony.

Wharfedale Grange is a dedicated wedding venue, and the spaces have been thoughtfully designed with this in mind. If the weather changes, your ceremony can move seamlessly indoors to the North Barn, without disrupting your tables, which will already be set for your wedding breakfast in the South Barn. This flexibility takes away so much stress and allows you to plan with confidence.

Yes — Wharfedale Grange is a dedicated wedding venue with full exclusive use.

Everything about the space has been designed with weddings in mind, which means you and your guests can relax, enjoy the day and make the venue your own. From a photography point of view, exclusive use allows the day to flow naturally, with uninterrupted access to all the best spaces and plenty of time to capture both the big moments and the quiet, meaningful ones.
