hello

AND WELCOME TO DRAWN BY LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY

I’m Lisa. I’m a West Yorkshire based photographer, living in Brighouse with my husband, 2 children and slightly daft black Labrador. I’ve been photographing families since 2015 and I love helping you capture precious memories and catalogue your family growing.

I want to help you have a lovely relaxed experience, so that you not only love your photographs but that you have a lovely experience taking them too.

My diary often fills up a few months in advance, so I highly recommend booking early.

This page gives you lots of information but if you have any questions or would prefer to chat, please give me call.

It’s always a privilege to be trusted with your family’s memories.

Halifax, West Yorkshire

I love being a maternity photographer, helping you capture the start of your next chapter at my studio in Elland, near Halifax in West Yorkshire.

A maternity photoshoot is the perfect way to capture all the amazing changes that your body goes through during your pregnancy. You’re doing an amazing job. It’s really magical to be able to look back with your child and show them the amazing bond that you had as you nurtured their growth and development even before they were born.

Maternity Photography

Maternity photoshoots are best done between 30-36 weeks pregnant.

A maternity photoshoot lasts for around an hour. You don’t necessarily need to choose a package at the time of booking.  You can book by simply paying the session fee of £50 which then covers your time on the studio but doesn’t include any images.  You then come back around 10 days to 2 weeks later and view your images and choose which one’s you’d like to buy.

You’ll be invited back to a viewing session around 2 weeks after your shoot to view your pictures and choose your favourites.

You can choose to add a professional make-up artist to your package – just ask for details.

A mini maternity shoot is only available when booked alongside your newborn photo session – a 30 minute maternity photoshoot (midweek only & doesn’t include partners) including 3 digital images for £95.

You can book your paternity photoshoot at any time during your pregnancy. I recommend booking your maternity photography session in advance but for around 30-36 of your pregnancy. This allows for a nice round, full bump but hopefully means you’re not too tired.

Your maternity photoshoot will take between 40 minutes and an hour. When you come to the studio we will have a chat, go through any outfits that you’ve brought with you and style your session and then we will begin.

Just let me know with as much notice as you can and I will do my best to rearrange your shoot.

Of course, these are included in a full maternity photography session but not in a mini session as there just isn’t time within the short session. A new baby is a big event for the whole family so we will chat about how to style your session and talk about if you want to include your partner.
