A boudoir photography experience is all about empowerment, self-love and confidence.

Hi, I am Lisa, your Halifax boudoir photographer and I cannot wait to guide you through this once-in-a-lifetime experience that will leave you feeling incredible and give you stunning boudoir photographs that will make you feel amazing every time you look at them.

Being a luxury boudoir photographer in Halifax means I am ideally placed for clients from the surrounding towns of Brighouse, Huddersfield, Halifax, Elland, Bradford, Leeds, wakefield aswell as further afield.

HOW IT WORKS: BEAUTY AND BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY

Your boudoir photography session at my Elland studio is a day all about you.

 Whether you want to be soft feminine, sexy, and sassy or even… wear nothing but your Jimmy Choo’s, we will make the day unforgettable for you.

 Ahead of your session we will make time for a styling consultation so even if this is your first boudoir photoshoot you will feel totally comfortable with the process.

 Your boudoir shoot takes approximately 2 hours with plenty of time for outfit changes (up to 4) and for capturing a stunning gallery of images for you.

Bridal Boudoir Photography

Whether you’re booking as a gift for your partner on your wedding day or as a treat for yourself, a bridal boudoir photoshoot is the perfect way to make yourself feel amazing. 

We will style the shoot with soft fabrics and some of your bridal details such as your shoes and veil or your jewellery to tie everything together.

Your photos can be presented in a beautiful print gift box, all ready to wrap up for the day before or the morning of your wedding.

How it works

You can secure your session by paying your £50 session fee. 

You then come abck around 2 weeks after your shoot for your own personal viewing session. I dedicate an hour to you so that you can be guided through your images and i’m on hand if you have any questions when choosing your favourite pictures or deciding which package to buy.

Your viewing Appointment

Around two weeks after your boudoir photoshootyou will come back to the studio to view your beautiful images. I will present these to you on a large screen via a slideshow set to music, so you can see how amazing you look. 

I will offer my expertise in a relaxed, no pressure environment to help you choose the perfect package for you. I have lots of samples of my amazing products on the walls in the studio from framed prints, canvas and acrylic products as well as beautiful print boxes.

ABOUT THE STUDIO

Halifax Boudoir Portrait Photographer

Drawn by Light is a specialised and private, body positive boudoir photography studio in Halifax owned by Lisa Kershaw.

Lisa’s unique photography style combined with years of experience photographing women aims at creating sensuous, sexy, and artistic images for all body types.

In addition to offering a unique take on boudoir photography, the studio specialises in wedding photography, maternity portraiture, and newborn photography for families in and around Halifax.

Yes. Always. You’ll be photographed by me; Lisa. I’m a photographer with over 10 years experience and I’ll always strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable, reassured and confident to be your best self. 

Yes. Your professional make-up session is included in your session with my amazing make-up artist at no extra cost. We start the day with you sat in the make-up chair chatting whilst you have your make-up done. This helps you to feel amazing, pampered and ready for your shoot. It’s a good idea to bring your favourite lipstick with you. 

You come with your hair done. A lovely curly blow dry or some soft waves work really well for a loose, bouncy finish but we will help you decide what feels best for you. 

Don’t worry, we will have a consultation beforehand to help you with this. Some people like to bring a selection of underwear with them and we have a small selection of pieces and fabrics in the studio. The best advice that I can give you is to bring well fitting garments to your boudoir photoshoot. These will enhance your natural shape and make you feel fabulous. 

It’s perfectly normal to feel nervous beforehand but don’t worry, I’ve got you! Everyone feels this way at the thought of being photographed, but I’ll take you by the hand, reassure you and guide you gently through your session every step of the way. You’ll feel amazing and will feel so happy & proud that you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone to create these precious moments for yourself.
