Yorkshire Wedding Photographer – Lisa Kershaw shares her Wedding awards for 2020 from the Guild of Professional Photographers.
Having spent years as a Wedding photographer I decided to give myself an extra challenge this year.

The Guild of professional photographers run a prestigious Image of the month competition in which the standard is incredibly high. Images are submitted to a panel of highly experienced Judges who grade them in accordance with international judging criteria. It can feel daunting to put yourself out there and have something so personal as your creative work judged but I decided to bite the bullet and give myself a challenge this year. It was a nerve wracking experience to begin with but I really enjoyed learning more about what a judge likes to see in a photograph and all of the different criteria. Who’d have thought there could be so many elements to consider when judging wedding photography?
There are a number of different categories, I chose to put myself along other Wedding photographers and enter some of my clients gorgeous wedding photographs from the last couple of years into the competition.
